Abstract
The Raman spectra of the superconducting oxygen-deficient perovskite YBa2Cu3O7 have been measured as a function of temperature in four different kind of samples. The spectra of one of the samples show eleven well resolved peaks. A group theoretical analysis of the basis vectors enables us to obtain a picture for some of the normal modes of vibration. We did not observe any change in the high frequency modes across the superconducting phase transition.
