Abstract
Raman scattering measurements of the E ̂2g2 mode of stage 1 C/AsF5 have been performed with different frequencies of the incident laser beam. In the region around 2 eV the Raman line is distorted and exhibits a Fano type line shape. The distortion is attributed to an interaction between the discrete one phonon excited state and a continuum of electronic excitations. The last is a consequence of an in-plane folding of the Brillouin zone.
