Abstract

The formation of the mixed iodo‐cyano cadmate (II) complexes at coordination level four in aqueous solutions was examined by Raman spectrophotometry. The existence of the species CdI₃CN²⁻ was definitely proven, while the existence of the other species CdI₂ (CN)₂²⁻ and CdI(CN)₃²⁻ could not be established.
