Abstract
In this article the connection between a mysterious Joseph the demon mentioned both in the Babylonian Talmud and in a newly published incantation bowl is explored. Along the way, the connection between other elements mentioned both in the bowls and the Babylonian Talmud are pointed out, in order to demonstrate a closer connection between the two literatures than has hitherto been established.
