Rayleigh-Schrodinger perturbation theory with a non-Hermitian perturbation

Abstract

In the presence of a non-Hermitian perturbation, the total energy may be computed up to order 2n+1 from a knowledge of the wavefunction up to order n only, provided that the Hermitian and anti-Hermitian wavefunction components of each order are determined separately.
