Abstract

This work reports on a novel approach to impulsive coherent vibrational spectroscopy based on a sequence of three ultrashort laser pulses: a 200-fs pump pulse, a sub-10-fs dump pulse resonant with stimulated emission and a sub-10-fs probe pulse. This novel technique is applied to real-time vibrational spectroscopy in organic molecules.
