Abstract

A novel Cu2+/polyacrylic acid (PAA) acid hybrid system of redox-switchable optoelectronic features was presented. A PAA film was electropolymerized on a gold-coated glass plate and the film was saturated with Cu2+ ions. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) was used to obtain the thickness and refractive index of the film. The results indicated no significant difference in film thickness in comparison with PAA film without Cu2+.
