Abstract
This research report is based on the potential difference between the families of origin of drug addicts who are "successfully" rehabilitated through methadone maintenance programs and those who are not. While our data reveals no significant differences in this regard, they do point to the need for new directions in therapy for drug addicts and suggest actional theories as a means of better interpreting the patient's behavior.
