Abstract

In view of conflicting publications regarding the resistivity of Hg3-δAsF6, these measurements were repeated. The experimental results of Spal et al. were confirmed. However, the magnetic field dependence indicates a superconducting film (or filament) of elemental mercury on the surface. The residual resistivity has been determined, ρ{variant}oc {reversed tilde equals} 1 μΩ-cm implying ρ{variant}oab {reversed tilde equals} 0.013 μΩ-cm.
