Retraction: A practical guide to digital micro-mirror devices (DMDs) for wavefront shaping (2024 J. Phys. Photon. 6 043001 DOI: 10.1088/2515-7647/ad6dc0)

This article has been retracted by IOP Publishing following a notification from the authors that equation (2) in the work contains an error. IOP Publishing has investigated in line with the COPE guidelines and agree that the blazed number introduced in equation (2), that directly informs the DMD geometry, is incorrect. This impacts figures 4(a), 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 as they are all calculated based on the incorrect equation. The pervasiveness of the error renders the findings irrreproducable, to the extent that IOP Publishing has made the decision to retract the work. IOP Publishing wishes to credit the authors for bringing the issue to our attention.
