Abstract
To the Editor: I very much enjoyed Dr. Berry's Sounding Board1 in the August 13 issue, but I must raise an academic question regarding the use of “curricula vitarum” in the 11th paragraph of his paper as the plural of “curriculum vitae.” I will be the first to admit that I struggled rather than waltzed through my texts of Caesar, Vergil, and Ovid during my early schooling at an institution that steadfastly adhered to the classics and had yet to grapple with the intricacies of the core curriculum. However, I believe that the plural of “curriculum vitae” is “curricula vitae.”.
