Abstract

(Abstracted from Genet Med 2021;23:432-434) Polygenic embryo screening (PES) uses polygenic risk scores (PRSs) to estimate risk for complex disorders and traits as a part of preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). Preimplantation genetic testing has been used for many years in order to avoid transferring embryos that have aneuploidies or single gene Mendelian disorders.
