Abstract
This paper involves an interpretation of the evidence of the Judean Desert scrolls which includes many seemingly unconnected scrolls. We set out to examine our working hypothesis that more than half of the scrolls found in the Judean Desert were produced by scribal groups - depending on the definition of a "scribal group." Sometimes these groups may be described as scribal schools, even though we have little evidence for such entities, except for Qumran.
