Abstract

This book is the outgrowth of a Conference held in Israel in1991. It focuses on the significance of the non-European heritage of the Jewish people. Although Sephardim comprise only 20% of world Jewry, over half of the population of the Jewish state is of sephardic/middle eastern background.
