Abstract

In this paper, we present an innovative concept for multi spectral detection based on the different types of PbS nano crystals (NCs) acting as an optical gate on top of a high-mobility shallow two-dimensional electron gas channel. The ability to integrate electronic devices with the unique quantum properties using nanostructures by bottom up approach makes the NCs perfect candidate for the future optoelectronic devices. Using two pairs of side gates, we were able to control the sensitivity of detection, and therefore compare between two separate NCs adsorption areas. This multi side gate concept enables two colors-based detection on the same device using selective adsorption.
