Abstract

Raman scattering experiments were performed in the system PbTi_1-xZr_xO₃. The substitution of Ti by Zr leads to a softening of the lowest E(TO) mode in PbTiO₃, and to the creation of an additional mode, which appears to interact with the soft mode.
