Abstract

Previous work on the quinquinary common-anion system NaCl-KCl-MgCl2-CaCl2-H2O at 25°C has been extended to 30, 35, 40 and 45°C, where data were not as readily available. The temperature dependence of the coefficients for the activity and osmotic coefficients and for the activities of the salts in the saturated solutions is applied to the previously presented equations. Saturation lines and planes and water vapour pressures calculated for these systems are compared with literature values and vapour pressures measured in this work.
