Solution of the Thomas-Fermi equation for triatomic systems

The total electrostatic potential for the triatomic molecules SO 2 and H2O is calculated by solution of the three-dimensional Thomas-Fermi equation with the aid of a relaxation procedure. A simple, accurate analytical representation of the results is given.
