Abstract

A new definition of the solvation thermodynamics of completely dissociable solutes is suggested. A relation is derived between the solvation thermodynamical quantities and measurable quantities. Some illustrative results obtained for simple electrolytes are presented and compared with the conventional quantities of solvation.
