Abstract
The development of single, as well as mixed, populations of Aphytis hispanicus and Prospaltella inquirenda, the two important parasites of the chaff scale, Parlatoria pergandii was studied in laboratory. After 24 months of rearing, neither parasite displaced the other, though P.inquirenda, after an initial lag, began to overtake A.hispanicus. The practical applications of these findings are discussed.
