Abstract
Self-focusing of intense femtosecond pulses in a planar glass waveguide was studies in three dispersion regims. Simultaneous patio-temporal contraction was observed in the anomalous dispersion case. Intrapulse Raman scattering and multiphoton absorption arrest the collapse.
