Abstract
Energy levels of a rigid rotor in a uniform electric field of arbitrary strength have been computed using Rayleigh-Schrodinger perturbation theory. Rational fraction representations of the weak-field Taylor series, the strong-field asymptotic series, and of both series simultaneously are very accurate over limited ranges of the applied field strength. A scaled variational perturbation theory yields high accuracy over the entire range.
