Abstract

A two-dimensional system of bonding-particles is further investigated by means of the Percus–Yevick integral equation. A detailed comparison between the pair correlation functions of a system of spherical and non- spherical particles is presented. It is found that the main features of the solutions obtained from the Percus–Yevick equation for particles forming three ‘hydrogen bonds’ are consistent with the probable mode of packing expected for such particles.
