Abstract

The study of the two-dimensional system of water-like particles is extended to include a second component. Some aspects of very dilute aqueous solutions of simple nonelectrolytes may be simulated in such a system, and in particular the phenomenon of hydrophobic interaction and its dependence on various properties of the solvent is investigated.
