Abstract
Di- and tri-cationic forms of oxazine-170 were detected in 7 and 12 molar H2SO4. The structures of these species together with those of the neutral and monocationic forms were determined by proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Protonation equilibria in the ground and excited states were determined from the absorption and emission spectra.
