Abstract
A new species, Scandix blepharicarpa O. Cohen (Apiaceae) is described. The species is probably endemic to northern Israel. Taxonomic relationships, distribution, and ecology are discussed. Reference is made to the unique endemism in the basalt soil area of northern Israel and southwestern Syria.
