Super resolution by sub-wavelength polarization distribution using conical diffraction

Abstract

We present a super resolution scheme that can be incorporated in standard fluorescence microscopes based on spatial modulation of the polarization inside the Airy disk of a focused illumination beam using conical diffraction.
