Abstract
Yersinia enterocolitica isolation fréquency seems about 200 times higher in Belgium than in France. The border between this two countries, which is purely political and not ecological, appears as a real barrier for Y. enterocolitica. The authors investigating all the possible factors able to explain the apparent disparity of the infection between the two countries, conclude that there is at present, no obvious reasons for this paradoxal epidemiological state.
