Abstract

A hybrid family: Hybrid nanoparticles containing the semiconductor CdS and the palladium compounds PdO or Pd4S were produced through two different synthetic mechanisms (see picture). The hybrids CdS-Pd4S and CdS-PdO undergo photoinduced charge separation, as demonstrated by their activity in the photoreduction of water.
