Abstract

The reaction of 2,3-dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone with potassium cyanate yields the appropriate quinonyl monoisocyanate. When the reaction is performed in the presence of alcohol, the corresponding novel N-quinonyl carbamates are obtained.
