Abstract

The synthesis of nanowires using dip-pen nanolithography and biocatalytic inks was described. The particles obtained by the biocatalytic enlargement in solution were investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Preliminary studies were performed to elucidate the conductivity properties of the nanowires. It was shown that the NP-functionalized biocatalysts may be employed as labels for the amplified sensing of biorecognition events.
