Abstract

Synthesis is described of a series of peptide derivatives which corresponds to positions 94‐104 in the primary structure of horse heart Cytochrome C. The preparations of the C terminus undecapeptide derivative α ‐benzyl‐L‐leucyl‐L‐isoleucyl‐L‐alanyl‐O‐benzyl‐L‐tyrosyl‐L‐leucyl‐Nϵ ‐trifluoroacetyl‐L‐lysyl‐Nϵ‐trifluoroacetyl‐L‐Lysyl‐L‐alanyl‐L‐threonyl‐L‐asparaginyl‐γ‐benzyl‐L‐glutamate trifluoroacetate and the C terminus nonapeptide L‐alanyl‐L‐tyrosyl‐L‐leucyl‐L‐lysyl‐L‐lysyl‐L‐alanyl‐L‐threonyl‐L‐asparaginyl‐L‐glutamic acid is described.
