Tailoring spatial intensity-correlations of speckle patterns

Abstract

We present a general framework for customizing the spatial intensity-correlations of speckle patterns without altering the spatial field-correlations. We experimentally generate speckles possessing long-range intensity-correlations by synthesizing non-Gaussian random phase patterns on a spatial light modulator.
