Abstract
The temperature dependence of the dispersion curve of the polariton associated with the 248 cm-1 mode in LiNbO3 is measured by means of near-forward Raman scattering, and described through the classical oscillator dispersion theory. The measured intensity and line-width of the Raman line are compared to those expected from theory.
