Abstract
The site of Khirbet Qeiyafa is tremendously important for understanding various aspects of the archaeology and history of the Iron Age, and the biblical tradition. It seems to contradict many assumptions which were strongly advocated by scholars of the' minimalist' schools for nearly 30 years.
