Abstract

Acupuncture was used to arrest and reverse functional gynecological disturbances in a 35-year-old woman. The treatment brought about a rapid resolution of large and recurrent uterine myomas which permitted successful pregnancy after prolonged secondary infertility. Theoretical considerations concerning the mechanism are discussed.
