Abstract

The results presented demonstrate that antigen specific quantitative deficiencies in the humoral response of bursectomized chickens and the magnitude of the humoral response of intact chickens are influenced by bursal extracts. Furthermore, it is shown that the effect of such extracts is not restricted to antigen sensitization and that the recovery demonstrated seems to be short termed.
