The effect of the Bean-Livingston barrier on the surface impedance of a type-II superconductor in a d.c. magnetic field parallel to its surface

Abstract

For the d.c. magnetic field parallel to the superconductor border the Bean-Livingston barrier strongly suppresses the a.c. loses. The effect disappears at a small angle between the d.c. field and the superconductor surface.
