Abstract

Organo-metal lead halide perovskite was first used in solar cells in 2009 by Kojima et al. (J Am Chem Soc 131:6050–6051, 2009) CH₃NH₃PbX₃ (X = Br, I) was applied as a sensitizer in a Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) with liquid electrolyte.
