The Friedberg Revolution in the Study of the Genizah: The Material and Physical Aspects of Documents

‏This paper explored several physical and material aspects of Genizah documents. Rather than exhausting the possibilities of research, the purpose was to demonstrate the potential of looking closely at such aspects. Our ability to conduct such research, and the awareness of its potential, would have not been possible without the revolution of digital access brought about by the Friedberg Genizah Project.
