Abstract

The fundamental intertwining relation HΩ=ΩH0 of scattering theory is valid only in the strict continuum limit. However, in several applications it is necessary to take the infinite volume limit only in the last stage. A formulation of the intertwining relation, which is valid for such cases and which avoids possible paradoxes, is provided.
