Abstract

Monoculture of Macrobrachium rosenbergii in the temperate zone must be intensive, since grow-out period is limited to 6-7 months. Improved management procedures were employed, including: stocking with well nursed juveniles of 2 g average weight; an addition of two aerators in order to maintain high dissolved oxygen levels and water movement; and the practice of intermediate, partial selective harvests of large individuals. -from Authors
