Abstract
The thermal expansion of Kevlar fibres and their unidirectional composites are measured by studying the axial dilation of the fibre from 20 to 150 degrees C. There is good agreement between the measured and calculated values of axial coefficient for unidirectional Kevlar/epoxy composites of different fibre loadings.
