Abstract

Two cases with a preoperative diagnosis of soft tissue neoplasm of the lower extremities were subjected to surgery. The operative finding revealed thrombophlebitis of the lesser saphenous vein presenting a huge mass. Although the possibility of asymptomatic thrombophlebitis should be considered in patients with painless masses, the patients should be subjected to surgery.
