Abstract

Manganese(II)-tetraphenylsulphonatoporphyrin (tpps) undergoes transmetallation by Zn2+ ions in the presence of thiol compounds, a thiol-ligated metalloporphyrin, [RS-MnII-(tpps)]5-, being the active species.
