Abstract
The various aspects of transmission of high-power carbon oxide laser pulses through a plasma channel were discussed. The laser energy transmission was not measured accurately because of the restrictive aperture of optics, used for collecting beam at the exit from the interaction cell. The happening of optical guiding conditions along a plasma column of a quasiparabolic radial profile was confirmed by plasma dynamic simulations.
