Abstract

The statement of a two-dimensional nonstationary convective cloud model taking a detailed account of the cloud microstructure is given. It is shown that external wing shear decreases cloud thickness and precipitation rate at the cloud thickness being smaller than some crystal value. Cloud seeding with AgI was imitated by freezing 1-5 % of the droplets. It has been found that the effect of seeding depends on the amount of the reagent used. The results obtained make it possible to optimize field experiments on seeding.
