Abstract
The behaviour of cis‐dicyanodi‐1‐10‐phenanthrolinoiron(II) and acetylacetonato‐N, N,N′,N′‐tetramethylethylene‐diaminocopper(II) perchlorate as solvatochromic indicators for the ability of solvents to donate a hydrogen atom or a pair of electrons, respectively, towards the formation of a hydrogen bond is examined by multivariable linear regressions and principal component analysis.
