Abstract

To further enhance ultrashort pulses, real-time all-optical processing techniques for achieving information conversion between slower opto-electronic devices and the ultrafast pulse phenomena need to be constructed. This article describes a space-to-time converter for multiplexing parallel data streams onto a serial channel, a time-to-space converter for demultiplexing a serial channel onto slower parallel channels, and processing of ultrafast waveforms.
