Abstract
This study will provide an analysis of Cervantes’ comedy, The Sultan’s Queen, within a specific theoretical framework: the poetics of crossing. According to this framework, the concept of crossing serves as a central dynamic in Cervantes’ fiction. This dynamic involves a continual interplay of transposing various codes, formed through the integration of diverse identities, genres, cultures, and perspectives. The analysis will explore several of these crossings, including biblical intertextuality, conversions, and the exploration of possible worlds identified within the comedy.
